YEG Student Fit Card Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use and purchase of the YEG Student Fit Card (the “Card”) offered by YEG Student Fit Card Ltd. ("we," "us" or "our"). By purchasing or using a Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not purchase or use the Card.

Important: This document is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult a qualified lawyer to ensure your policies comply with applicable federal and provincial laws.

1. Eligibility and Card Use

  • Post‑secondary students only. The Card is available exclusively to individuals currently enrolled (full‑time or part‑time) in a post‑secondary institution or who have graduated within the last six months. A valid student ID or proof of enrollment will be required at purchase and redemption. We may verify your eligibility at any time. Cards purchased by ineligible individuals will be void without refund.

  • One Card per person. Each Card is registered to one student and may not be shared, resold or transferred. Studios may request photo ID at redemption.

  • How the Card works. The Card entitles the holder to one free class at each participating studio during the Card’s validity period, subject to the studio’s off‑peak hours. The Card must be presented to studio staff at check‑in; staff will stamp, punch or initial the corresponding box on the Card to record redemption. Once a studio’s box is stamped, no further free visit can be claimed at that studio.

  • Off‑peak hours. Participating studios reserve the right to limit Card redemptions to off‑peak hours—typically weekday mornings, early afternoons or late evenings. Off‑peak schedules vary by studio; check the studio’s website or contact them directly for details. This requirement ensures that regular members have priority during peak times and allows studios to accommodate Card holders without overcrowding.

  • Redemption period. Cards are valid time duration stated at the time of purchase and expire automatically thereafter. Unused redemptions do not roll over. Cards are not gift cards and have no stored monetary value.

2. Pricing, Payment and Delivery

  • Price and taxes. The Card price (e.g., C$49.00) is payable in full at checkout and includes all applicable tax. Prices are subject to change prior to purchase.

  • Payment processors. We use a third‑party payment processor (e.g., Stripe) to handle transactions securely. By purchasing a Card, you agree to the payment processor’s terms of service.

  • Shipping and fulfillment. We ship Cards via standard Canada Post letter mail at no additional cost within Canada (or alternate carrier if necessary). Orders are processed within two business days and typically arrive within 5–7 business days within Edmonton and 7–10 days elsewhere in Canada. We are not responsible for delays caused by the postal service.

  • No returns or refunds. All sales are final. Once purchased, Cards cannot be returned or refunded, even if unused. Because studio spots are limited and Card quantities are capped, we cannot accommodate refunds.

  • Lost or stolen Cards. Treat your Card like cash. Lost, stolen or damaged Cards will not be replaced.

3. Studio Participation and Changes

  • Independent businesses. Participating studios are independent businesses and not owned or controlled by us. We do not guarantee the continued participation of any studio. Studios may leave the program or change their offers at any time. We will endeavor to keep our website updated with current partners.

  • Not affiliated with universities. YEG Student Fit Card is an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any educational institution.

  • Code of conduct. Card holders must follow each studio’s rules, sign required waivers and behave respectfully. Studios may refuse service or revoke the Card for misconduct.

4. Assumption of Risk and Liability

  • Fitness risk. Participation in fitness classes involves physical activity and carries inherent risks. By using the Card, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating and assume all risks of injury, illness or death. Consult your physician before beginning any exercise program.

  • Waivers. You may be required to sign a separate waiver of liability at each studio. Such waivers are between you and the studio.

  • Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, loss, claim or damages arising from your use of the Card or participation in any studio’s classes. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the Card.

5. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

  • Information we collect. When you purchase a Card, we collect your name, email address, mailing address, school affiliation and proof of enrollment. When you redeem a Card at a studio, the studio may record your name and Card serial number for tracking purposes. We do not collect or store payment card information; this is handled by our payment processor.

  • How we use information. We use your information to: process orders, deliver your Card, verify eligibility, track redemptions, communicate with you about your purchase, and send occasional updates or promotional offers (with opt‑out options). Studios receive only the information necessary to confirm your identity and Card validity at the point of redemption.

  • Data security. We employ reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information from loss, theft and unauthorized access. However, no security system is impenetrable; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Third‑party services. Our website may contain links to third‑party sites (e.g., studio websites). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review each site’s policies.

  • Retention and deletion. We retain your information as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above or as required by law. You may request deletion of your personal data (subject to our record‑keeping obligations) by contacting us.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and printed materials—including logos, artwork, and copy—is the property of YEG Student Fit Card Ltd. or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce or modify our content without written permission.

7. Termination and Misuse

We reserve the right to terminate any Card without refund if we determine that it has been obtained fraudulently, tampered with or misused (e.g., sharing, reselling, using multiple free classes at the same studio). Studios may also refuse redemption if a Card appears altered or invalid.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Card after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
